The overall objective of EuroJustice program is to contribute to national efforts in fighting against the impunity of corruption and violent crime, while ensuring access of the Honduran population to an efficient, effective, transparent and responsible, promoter of social equity justice system.
The overall goal of EuroJustice program are:
1. Strengthening the prosecution and condemnation of corruption and violent crime affecting Honduran citizens;
2. Improving access to justice for vulnerable groups, through better service to citizens.
3. Strengthening audit mechanisms, internal control and social supervision of justice operators.
The specific objectives of the short term technical assistance are to support the court system in launching EuroJustice which consists of "accompanying the Security and Justice sector reform in Honduras by supporting the development of the institutional capacity of this sector in order to ensure an effective and efficient public service, within a framework of transparency and accountability. "
