The Customs Service of Ukraine was aware that the process of harmonisation with the EU, in view of the integration of Ukraine into the Single Market, calls for a fundamental reform of its organisation and functioning.
The general objective of this contract was to accelerate the approximation of the Customs Service of Ukraine to EU standards.
The specific objectives were:
1) to support the Customs Service of Ukraine in the preparation of a draft strategy for the years 2006-2015 and of related short, medium and long-terms Action Plans;
2) to organise a training session on Project Management for Customs officials.
