The project aims at improving justice access at district level though the establishment of a functioning gender-sensitive judicial system. The specific objective is to draw up a Contribution agreement with UNDP in compliance with the EC strategy in the justice sector. This agreement will be articulated in 4 main activities:- reinstatement of districts as the most relevant level for justice delivery for ordinary Afghans- Improvement (with a gender-sensitive approach) of district justice centres - Refreshment training of judicial staff at district level with special focus on women access to justiceLocal awareness campaigns targeted at women, children, ethnic and religious minorities and other disadvantaged categories.
