The project aim was to assist the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) to manage the conservation and development of Swahili culture heritage. This involved the planning of a substantial reform of NMK organisation training plans for rehabilitation of the Lamu and Mombasa historic centres and a development plan based on local communities.
