We are delighted to announce that ARS Progetti has been appointed as lead consultant for a major study commissioned by UK National Commission for UNESCO (UKNC) and Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC) to reveal the true value — economic, socio-cultural and environmental — generated by multi-stakeholder partnerships in UNESCO UK’s designations.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Creative PEC under the UKNC's Local to Global Programme of the UK National Commission for UNESCO, the aim of the project is to design an innovative methodology, applicable to other UNESCO sites globally, for quantifying and demonstrating not only the economic impact but also the relational non-economic value generated by UNESCO sites across UK.
The research is also supported by CNR-IRISS (the National Research Council of Italy – Institute for Research on Innovation and Services for Development), based in Naples, as scientific advisor to A.R.S. Progetti for this assignment.
“This assignment is a great opportunity for us to deepen a theme most important in our practice: cultural and natural heritage as vector of social balance, social change and innovation. The insightful brainstorming activated by UNESCO UK on how to measure the partnership’ benefits of UNESCO sites, cultural and natural, in the UK shall lead to innovative analytical frameworks, hopefully applicable to other sites in future.”
