The overall objective of the project, of which this contract will be a part, is to prepare the Turkish Cypriot community for the implementation of the EU acquis in the water sector. The specific objectives are: - To prepare the project of new northern Nicosia Trunk Sewer from Kioneli/Gönyeli to Mia Milia/Haspolat to the stage of an award of a Works contract for the construction including study, design, tender dossier preparation and assistance in the tendering procedure. - To prepare a financial and economic analysis for operation and maintenance costs for the sewer including infrastructure renewals accounting and the apportionment of costs between Beneficiaries, leading to recommendations for tariff adjustments to cover such costs. - To recommend the structure of a future 'special purpose entity' for the management of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of the NNTS by the Beneficiaries.
