The main objectives of this project are:. To increase the active participation of civil society in the policy-setting and decision-making process.. To enhance and strengthen the position and role of civil society in order to support democratisation and help CSOs to act as an effective check on the existence of a good and accountable governance system. . To improve the relationship and co-operation between the civil society and the Government through supporting the Government to develop a strategy and its implementation for the Government’s relation with the third sector.The specific objective of the assignment is to conduct a needs assessment of the new Government Unit and recommend activities to support the Unit, inclusive training needs and to draft tender documents for a Technical Assistance service contract project, which will be part of a restricted international tender procedure. The team designed a project, which is appropriate for the European Agency for Reconstruction to finance in order to support the Government in its efforts to improve the cooperation and partnership with the civil society sector.
