The overall objective of the project of which this contract is a part was to support diversification, by further supporting development of alternative economic activities in the agricultural and other productive sectors. The purpose of this intervention was: to have available timely, reliable and accurate production and marketing information of the agricultural sector. The need for timely and reliable information is considered a necessary support system for policy makers, farmers, international organization and other users of agricultural data to make precise decision on production and land use, commodity availability, prices, market changes and the need for policy intervention to address market failure.
