The 9th National Indicative Programme (NIP) signed by the Government of the Republic of Suriname and the European Commission in 2007 reflects the EC's willingness to support the Non-focal sector: Building the capacity of economic actors in the Republic of Suriname. Within the framework of this Indicative Programme, 1,700,000.00 M€ unspent funds under the 8th NIP Micro-Projects Programme II (MPP II) were reprogrammed to the Suriname NGO Institutional Strengthening Programme (SNIS).
