The mid-term review of the 9th EDF has recommended three priorities to be included in the new Program of the 10th EDF: 1. Institutional priority: to support the Central Government in its role as regulator of the water sector and strengthen the powers of the Central Government and regional delegations; 2. Priority Technology: providing hydraulic equipment adapted to larger centers; 3. Geographic Focus: ensuring the continuity of the intervention of the 9th EDF in a coherent geographical entity, known and whose needs of water are important. In collaboration with the Technical Support Unit to the National EDF, the Ministry of Water and Hydraulics Program Coordination 9th EDF, the mission developed technical documents for this project, while facilitating the process validation of these documents by the Chadian authorities. The overall objective has been to contribute to strengthening the partnership between Chad and the EC in the implementation of the sectoral policy of the water.
