The support Program to the sovereignty organs and to the rule of law (PAOSED) is a program of € 6 million over 3 years with the aim to contribute at improving good governance and consolidation of the State Law in Guinea Bissau. The specific objective is to ensure a better functioning of the legislature, the judiciary, a better control of government activities and better access to justice for the people. The mission has been developed into two components: A component of mid-term evaluation of PAOSED. The mid-term evaluation has provided decision-making bodies of the Government of Guinea-Bissau and to the services of external cooperation of the European Commission with sufficient information to: 1) have an overall and independent results of the program, with particular emphasis on the impact of actions against targets; 2) draw the main lessons of the intervention and make recommendations on its implementation for the years 2009 and 2010. A component of identification and formulation of a revitalized and consolidated project of the sovereign bodies of the legislative and judicial powers and of the democratization processes.
