The overall objective of the project is to assist NGOs in the beneficiary countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo) to develop their full potential as partners in the development and implementation of environmental legislation. The specific objective is to have all parties of the EU accession process to better understand the roles (and duties) of environmental NGOs and to propose working methods guidelines for Governments, NGOs and the European Commission. The project should act as catalysis to initiate a constructive partnership between NGOs, national administrations and the private sector.
