The overall objective of this assignment is to demonstrate to the people of Maldives the EU's commitment to support democracy, to contribute to transparency in the country. The specific objective of the assignment is to provide continuous strategic analysis and reporting on the ongoing electoral processes and to provide inputs for confidence-enhancing demarches, during and after the elections. The experts should also provide advice on the elaboration of an EU declaration on the outcome of the election and the development of a common EU approach to the Maldives.
