The overall purpose of the project was to assist the Government of Maldives (GoM), and in particular the Ministry of Legal Reform to achieve the goals set in the Maldivian Reform Roadmap and conform with the international standards. The project has provided the GoM, the EC Delegation and other stakeholders with technical and legal advice on law provisions related to the complaints and appeals mechanism in particular but at a general level on the new reforms of the constitution as a whole.
