This final review consisted of the final evaluation of the CWCI III project and a general review of the CWCI project’s impact in South African society, after almost ten years of operations and after more than 250 grants have been allocated to Non-State Actors across the country. The objective of this external final review was to: 1. Make an overall independent assessment about the past performance of the project, paying particular attention to the impact of the project actions against its objectives; 2. Identify and elaborate on key lessons learned and propose practical recommendations; while the main focus was to evaluate performance to date, the study also suggested, with supporting arguments, possible future activities; 3. Evaluate the role and place of such a project in the South African context.
