The overall objective of this assignment is to prepare a Background Study for Establishing Protected Area/s in the area of delta Bojana in order to provide evaluation of key ecological values of the zones. Along with ecological values, the Study has reviewed main cultural and socio-economic values of the investigation area. The result of the overall evaluation is zoning of the investigated area with a defined level of conservation. The Study has defined a detailed Monitoring and Evaluation Programme for the preparation of future Protected Area/s Management Plan/s.
