The National Park of Zakouma (NPZ), in the South West of Chad, is a highly significant heritage, both at national and continental level. The conservation of this still untouched Sudan-Sahelian ecosystem makes the Park the Shrine for the environmental biodiversity preservation. There is a great number of animals living within the Park, highly important species and underspecies threatened by extinction. The general objective of this project is to guarantee a long lasting management of natural resources in the SA of the NPZ, promoting the local development through a process where local actors play a key role in the territory development.
