An external final evaluation is a requirement of the Financing Agreement between the EC and the National Treasury and its purpose is to provide a comprehensive overview of the entire programme. The evaluation assessed the design, implementation and results of the Conference, Workshop and Cultural Initiative Fund Project in order to determine its relevance, efficiency, effectiveness impact and sustainability in the context of its stated aim. The evaluation highlighted the lessons learnt so that the conclusions and recommendations arrived at could be taken into account by the EC and the National Treasury when implementing future interventions.
