The project is expected to contribute to improved knowledge about the operational aspects of linking migration and development. It should deepen the knowledge on how the various services of the European Commission with their actions within or focussed at third countries can support the positive sides of migration on the development of third countries, and reduce the negative effects. Services of the European Commission are the direct beneficiaries of this assignment as the outcome is expected to support the design and implementation of better targeted projects strengthening the positive aspects of migration for the countries of origin.
