The objective of this project is to establish a strategy for PMIR that will inform and guide the strategic and accountable manner provincial and municipal international relations should be conducted. Also to achieve an effective allocation and utilization of partner country resources. Additionally, to ensure that the programmes/ projects that are undertaken in international relations are nested within the broader country’s priorities. Moreover, it will ensure integration of South African provincial and municipal initiatives on a sub-regional and regional levels. As well as guide the implementation of programmes/projects that provinces and municipalities enter into with other partner countries. Finally, it will provide a mechanism for liaising with various stakeholders at a strategic level in the continent.
