Recently the Government of Georgia has recognised the importance of the Quality Management System, which consists of standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment infrastructure, on the basis of two policy objectives: • Recognition of Georgia’s products on international markets, stronger access to the EU market, resulting in more diversity of exports in the longer-term perspective; • To ensure product safety and thus avert threats to public health. This assignment aims at providing a comprehensive sector study of the Georgian Quality Management System.
