The main objectives of this three-years programme are the conservation and rational use of the natural resources by the local communities and the conservation of wildlife and biodiversity. Main activities of the program are:- collection of scientific data, - identification and implementation of micro-projects aimed at improving the local conditions of life- research and extension of technologies for a rational use of the scarce natural - resources (soil, water, energy etc) - the development of the Sibiloi National Park and the management of the buffer areas- creation of a "Desert Museum",- development of a environmentally and culturally sustainable tourism,- education and training
