The overall objective of the EU-China Legal and Judicial Co-operation Programme was to support the efforts of the Chinese government to develop a society based on the rule of law.The overall objective of the final evaluation activities implemented under this mission is to improve the design and the impact of European Commission managed external assistance by strengthening the European Commission’s ability to draw on lessons learnt of past and ongoing interventions for future planning, programming and project identification. The specific objective of the evaluation of the Programme is to assess its relevance, efficiency, effectiveness / results, impact and sustainability, and make recommendations for future programmes in this field.
