Harmonization and coordination stand high on the current international agenda for enhancing development assistance. The EU takes an active part in the process of improving coordination of the programs and harmonizing the procedures. The present assignment aims at assisting the EU member states and the European Commission present in Ethiopia in preparing a response to the Ad Hoc Working Party on Harmonization (AHPWH) recommendations. The beneficiaries of the results of the mission are the people of Ethiopia, who will benefit from increased effectiveness of donors’ co-operation and reduced transaction costs.The global objective is to contribute to the internationally agreed harmonization agenda and ensure strengthened ownership and further alignment in the EU aid programs.
