Technical Assistance for Identification on a potential contribution to National census in Nigeria

The overall objective of the study is to provide the EC’s decision-making instances with a basis to decide on a possible contribution and involvement level with regards to the conduct of a national census in Nigeria. The identification study will research whether the political and operational conditions are in place for the EC to provide technical and/or financial support for a national census in Nigeria as requested by the National Authorising Officer (NAO) and suggest an intervention. If it finds the conditions aren’t in place, recommendations are to be made to establish a framework conducive to the holding of a correct, timely, credible, published and accepted census.
