The Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) took the political leadership in the peace building process in Liberia. The global objective of the assignment is to support ECOWAS in the implementation of the cease-fire agreement brokered by ECOWAS and to create conditions of stability in Liberia.This project will support the Office of the European Commission in Monrovia in the supervision of the financial management of the Office of the Special representative and prepare all necessary administrative work connected to the closing of the Office of the Special Representative in October 2004.
