The Integrated Local Development Project (ILDP) is a flagship initiative financed by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It helps a wide range of governmental partners to affirm a coherent and functional development planning and management sub-national system (entity, cantonal and local government levels), which reinforces effective delivery of public policies – including those related to integration to the EU – and contributes to better development results. The ILDP seeks to support legally prescribed sub-national planning and development management systems, characterised by stronger political accountability and predictable public fiscal frameworks, which will optimise the use of public financial resources and attract more external funds for development priorities – including from EU IPA II.
The objective of the mission is to improve the understanding and knowledge of sub-national government level elected officials and senior government representatives on the EU IPA II programming, thus contribute to strengthened governance capacity to design and deliver public policies in the broader EU-accession context.
