The general objective of the infrastructure sector is to ensure futures road connecting the entire territory of the DRC by contributing to the restoration of the priority transport infrastructure network necessary to strengthen the physical unit the country, the economic recovery, regional integration and reduction of poverty in the republic.
This project involves the rehabilitation of a first batch of work (about 115 kms) of the national section of Route 1 (NR1) between Batshamba and Tshikapa (about 258 kms) and the financing of the feasibility study (focused on the analysis of economic and financial profitability) for the rehabilitation of the national road No. 3 (RN3) linking Sake (Goma) to Kisangani (about 655 kms).
The overall objective of this project is to fight against poverty a part of the Congolese population by contributing to the restoration of transport infrastructure necessary for socio-economic recovery and ensuring access to markets and social and administrative services.
The specific objective of the project is to support the reconstruction of the road network of the DRC and in particular of its structuring axes RN1 Matadi-Kinshasa-Mbuji-Mayi -Lubumbashi and RN3 Goma (Sake) -Walikale-Lubutu-Kisangani.
