The overall objective of this assignment is to support the Directorate-General for International Partnerships (INTPA) A2 (Regional and Multi-Country Programmes for Africa) with the pre-identification and formulation of EU regional cooperation projects and programmes in the field of education and skills development in partner countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, which will be included in the Annual Action Plan for 2022 and 2023.

The purpose of the assignment is to provide technical support and advice on request to INTPA Unit A2, EU Delegations and to facilitate stakeholder consultation and awareness raising, to contribute to the pre-identification and formulation of EU regional cooperation projects and programmes in the field of education and skills development in EU partner countries (Sub-Saharan Africa).  The objectives are: to improve the development and coordination of regional and continental policies and EU-Africa relations in the field of education and skills development; to promote regional and continental integration mechanisms to facilitate learning and labour mobility; to increase learning opportunities at regional and continental levels, with a focus on higher education and youth leadership mobility programmes.
