The European Union Youth Support Programme in Morocco contributes to the implementation of the EU Youth Support Programme (2019-2024). The general objective of the programme is to promote the social inclusion of young girls and boys in society. Its specific objective is to provide young girls and boys, especially those with the least opportunities, with an available, accessible, acceptable and appropriate range of community-based services. The 4 expected results are:

Result 1: improvement of the provision of services in Ministry of Youth institutions for girls and boys, especially those with fewer opportunities. this is achieved through the Upgrading of infrastructure and equipment in community-based institutions and the Renewal of the offer in the Youth Centres, in women’s homes and in vocational training centres

Result 2: Professionalising and Energising the ecosystem around young people through the training of personnel from outside the Ministry of Youth working in local structures under the supervision of the Ministry, the professionalisation of youth work and the professionalisation of the social context

Result 3:  Improvement of the governance of the sector  by the Ministry of Youth through the development of a quality assurance policy within the Ministry and the preparation and implementation of an Integrated Public Youth Policy

Result 4: start-up or reinforcement of innovative initiatives through the establishment of an accreditation system for associations, the introduction of a new management model in youth centres and the establishment of a national volunteering programme

The final beneficiaries/right holders targeted by this programme are young people aged 15-34, with a particular focus on NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training), 79% of whom are girls.

The overall objective of this project is to contribute to the monitoring of the European Union's support to Morocco in the youth sector.
