Organization of the National Stakeholders Consultative Conference in Zimbabwe

💥 Organization of the National Stakeholders Consultative Conference in Zimbabwe

➡️ ARS Progetti, in collaboration with Philip Advisory Consulting, had the honour to organize the National Stakeholders Consultative Conference, within the framework of the project: Comprehensive review of Zimbabwe’s National Action Plan for Orphans and Vulnerable Children III (NAP III 2016-2020) and development of a costed successor NAP IV (2022-2026).

🎯 The goal of the project, financed by UNICEF, is to support the Government of Zimbabwe (GOZ) and the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare (MoPSLSW) in reviewing NAP III, with the findings and recommendations informing the design of a new overarching NAP framework integrating strategies to end Violence Against Children (EVAC), child protection, social protection, and child labour.

🌟 The National Stakeholder’s Consultation Conference formed a basic design and consultative process of the Successor Programme for 2023-2027. The purpose of this conference was to design a Costed Successor Programme for 2023 - 2027. National, provincial, district and community stakeholders, indeed, attended the design workshop, including government, cooperating partners, international development partners, the private sector, civil society organizations, rights holders, academia, media, and other relevant stakeholders, including children.

Among the presenters and participants to this important event, we count the Minister of MoPSLSW, the Minister of State for Bulawayo Province and UNICEF Country Representative.

🔥 The main pillars addressed during the conference and workshop were:

🟠 Household Economic Security

🟠 Access to basic services

🟠 Child Protection & Safeguarding.

🟠 Systems Strengthening
