Norma Barbacci

Conservation Architect, Latin America
Preservation Architect with over 30 years of experience in developing and managing preservation projects. In 2020 was the "Robert A.M. Stern Visiting Professor of Architectural Design" at Yale University. In 2017 Ms. Barbacci established Norma Barbacci Preservation Consultants LLC, a private consulting firm, specialized in preservation of international cultural heritage and joined ARS Progetti as consultant, responsible for two European Union projects in Peru. From 2001-2017 she was the Program Director for Latin America, Spain and Portugal at World Monuments Fund where she managed over 100 projects and organized several international preservation meetings. Ms. Barbacci received her B.A. in architecture in 1983 from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA, and her M.S. in Historic Preservation in 1987 from Columbia University, New York, NY. Fluent in English and Spanish and intermediate Italian.
