Stefania Petralla

Senior project manager, Architect Planner
ARB Registered Architect with nearly 15 years of working experience on projects related to heritage and the built environment. During her PhD in "Design Practices for Historic Areas" she was a Visiting Fellow at the Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran in 2011 and at UPENN of Philadelphia in 2012. Two years later, in 2014, she was awarded the Iran Heritage Foundation Research Fellowship at the LMEI within SOAS in London. With a focus on typological and functional aspects of traditional cities and buildings, and with years of specialization in the MENA and Gulf Area, she is experienced in the identification of the architectural characters and their adoption as means to promote local cultures, support heritage interpretation and explore valorization issues/strategies to be sustainably incorporated in design and rehabilitation processes.
