Senior Conservation Architect - Branch of KSA
Khushi Shah is a conservation architect with over 20 years of work experience in the field of Architectural and Urban Conservation. She joined ARS Progetti, in October 2023 as On-Site Senior Conservation Architect for the Monitoring studies and Condition Assessment for the At-Turaif World Heritage Site, Saudi Arabia. She co-ordinates the efforts of the on-site team for project reports and provides essential support to various experts on the project.
She holds a Bachelor in Architecture from the M.S. University of Baroda (2002) and Specialisation in Heritage Conservation (DSA-Architecture et Patrimoine) from Centre des Hautes Etudes de Chaillot, Paris (2007).
Her significant professional engagements prior to joining ARS Progetti include the Laboratory analysis and material specifications for restoration and conservation of FA building with CEPT University team; Preparation of World Heritage nomination dossier for the Historic city of Ahmadabad as part of Centre for Conservation Studies, CRDF, CEPT University and Restoration of traditional pol houses in the historic city of Ahmedabad as part of an Indo-French cooperation project. She has also worked as consultant on various design, restoration projects and conservation studies assignments.
Khushi served as a visiting faculty member (2010–2017, 2020–2023) in the postgraduate Conservation programme at FA, CEPT University. Between 2017 to 2020, as an adjunct faculty member, she was in-charge of the Conservation Laboratory at CEPT where she developed and taught the workshop-based course on hands-on application and analysis of traditional building materials.
