Senior Conservation Architect
Anam Sami is a Senior Conservation Architect at ARS Progetti, specializing in heritage and urban conservation. She holds dual master’s degrees in Conservation Architecture (SPA, New Delhi, 2015) and Landscape Archaeology (Sapienza University, Rome, 2023), with over nine years of professional experience.
Previously with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKDN, Delhi) Anam worked on the conservation of Mughal monuments and urban conservation projects. She contributed to India’s first sunken museum at Humayun’s Tomb, curating replicas of Mughal artefacts. Her work also includes writing UNESCO World Heritage dossiers, Site Management Plans and Heritage Management plans.
She participated in the ICCROM course in 2017 on the Preservation and Restoration of Wooden Structures in Japan, organized by UNESCO (ACCU) in partnership with ICCROM.
