POSITION:Senior Conservation Engineer

DURATION / DUREE: 12 months, renewable. 3 months trial period.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE / OBJECTIVE GENERAL: Working on cultural Heritage Projects

PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLICATION SERVICES AND EXPECTED RESULTS / OBJECTIVES PARTICULIERS, SERVICES DEMANDES ET RÉSULTATS A ATTEINDRE:
Resident Engineer in Abu Dhabi:
‐ Provide expertice, guidance and monitoring during the dismantling of reinforced concrete foors and roofs of an historic building registred as National Heritage.
‐ Guarantee the protection of the decorations, and architectural finishes.
‐ Guarantee the respect of the prescription of the Conservation Management
‐ Assess the condition of selected bearing veritical walls, in doubt to be kept.
‐ Provide specialized services as needed in close cooperation of other ARS experts.
‐ Coordinate and lead the experts mobilized to the scope.
‐ Support the Director of Abu Dhabi Branch in the management of the assignment and in the liason with AD Department of Culture and Tourism.

QUALIFICATION: EDUCATION:
‐ Master Degree in Engineering with specialization on Heritage Buildings,
Master Degree in Conservation of Architectural Heritage with specialisation in
structural consolidation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
‐ Conservation Engineer with a minimum 10 years experience, minimum 5 years experience in detailed design and works
supervision of heritage structures.
‐ Fluent written and spoken English. Fluent in reporting in English.
‐ Good knowledge of main software, such as Windows Office, AUTOCAD, In
Design, Photoshop, etc.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE / EXPÉRIENCE SPÉCIFIQUE: Self‐motivated, independent, proactive, and deeply passionate about
heritage conservation. Flexible, hard worker, and able to work in stressful
conditions. Good in time management, communication, and team working.
‐ Eager to work in the international context, in developing and emerging
countries, and to undertake short or long missions abroad.
‐ Possessing a driving license and available to drive in the projects countries,
when necessary.

WORK LANGUAGE / LANGUE DE TRAVAIL: English, Italian and Arabic is an asset
